About the Role:
As a Principal CPU Architectural Verification Engineer, you will be a key member of the design verification team at Ampere to deliver our high-quality next generation AI integrated, cloud-native server class SoCs. A key priority will be to A key priority will be to enhance our CPU, AI IP blocks and GPU/IP/SoC verification efforts. This encompasses developing cutting-edge DV methodologies, designing reusable verification components, and building tools to improve our overall verification efficiency and coverage.
What You'll Achieve:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test plans using directed and constrained-random methods.
- Write and generate assembly language tests, debug failures, and evaluate design coverage at both unit and chip levels.
- Create detailed test cases for CPU, AI IP architectural and micro-architectural level verification.
- Design and maintain robust scalable testbenches for comprehensive CPU verification.
- Define and implement coverage metrics to ensure complete testing of critical features
- Manage regression tests; analyze results to debug failures and identify design flaws.
- Leverage AI-driven techniques to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Design Verification effort.
About you:
- 6+ years of hands-on CPU verification experience at the unit or chip level, specifically in a server environment.
- Deep expertise in Assembly language, C++, and Python.
- Proven ability to create detailed and targeted test cases.
- Strong skills in designing robust and scalable verification testbenches.
- Solid understanding of CPU architecture and micro-architecture principles.
- Expert in debugging complex hardware and software issues.
- Additional skills highly desired: Experience with GPU Verification, SoC Verification, SystemVerilog, UVM, Simulators, Random Test Generators, Scripting, Source Control Management (SCM) tools, Software development practices (i.e., code reviews, continuous integration, unit testing).
Education:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science & 8 years of related experience or MS degree & 6 years

The full base pay range for this role is between $152,500 and $254,000.
