About the role: 
Ampere is looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our team. In this position, you will drive Ampere’s Product Marketing function with discipline and a strong focus on quality and execution. This is a high visibility/high impact role with incredible growth potential as Ampere continues to expand.
 
What you’ll achieve: 
  • Develop and Implement Strategic Product Positioning: Craft a compelling and differentiated product value proposition and positioning strategy, leveraging data-driven insights to maximize market impact and competitive advantage.
  • Content Strategy and Management: Lead the development and management of high-quality content in a consistent format across all channels, ensuring alignment with brand standards and strategic marketing objectives.
  • Creation of Effective Product Collateral: Produce and oversee the creation of impactful product collateral that effectively resonates with target markets and segments, enhancing customer engagement and driving sales.
  • Design Training Programs:  Develop comprehensive training materials for both internal and external sales teams to ensure robust product understanding and effective sales techniques.
  • Quality Assurance in Documentation: Review all public-facing technical documents to ensure accuracy, consistency in messaging, and alignment with Ampere's brand values and strategic initiatives.
  • Leadership and Team Culture: Serve as a visible and actively engaged leader within the Product team, embodying and role modeling Ampere's culture of transparency and inclusion.  Motivate, mentor, and connect people across teams and regions to foster collaboration and drive organizational success.
About you:  
  • Education and Experience:  Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field & 15 years of related experience; or Master's degree & 12 years with a minimum 6 years of technical Product Marketing in the cloud server space is required.
  • Technical Competency: Demonstrated expertise in reviewing technical documents to ensure accuracy and consistency in messaging. A solid foundation in cloud product marketing, performance marketing, competitive analysis, product positioning, and competitive benchmarking is essential.  Prefer silicon background.
  • Cloud Server Market Insight: Deep understanding of the cloud server market dynamics, customer purchasing behaviors, and the hardware/software technologies utilized by customers.  Familiarity with competitive alternatives and the ability to evaluate relevant metrics.
  • Content Management Excellence: Proven track record of managing the creation of high-quality product content in a consistent format, with a strong focus on maintaining quality and consistency across all channels.
  • Discipline and Execution Focus: Strong execution-focused mindset with the ability to manage projects efficiently and meet deadlines, ensuring the successful delivery of marketing strategies and initiatives.
Experience in the following areas is a big plus:
  • Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively present to large audiences, articulating complex ideas in an engaging and professional manner. Experience in public speaking or delivering presentations at industry events is beneficial.
  • Cloud Provider Experience: Previous experience in marketing or developing products for a cloud provider is advantageous, offering insights into the unique challenges and opportunities within the industry. 
What we’ll offer: 
 
Ampere offers a competitive total rewards package that includes base pay, bonus (i.e., variable pay tied to individual and company goals), long-term incentive, and comprehensive benefits. The full base pay range for this role is between $177,000 and $295,000, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $189,500 and $315,500.
