About the Role:
As a Design Verification Engineer, Coherent High-Speed Interconnect, you will be a key member of the design verification team at Ampere to deliver our high-quality next generation AI integrated, cloud-native server class SoCs. You will be responsible for verifying Coherent High-Speed Interconnect IP - Bug free A0; on time, under budget. You will partner with stakeholders in adjacent domains and enable verification team to left shift bug hunting and meet verification goals on schedule. You'll be involved with all aspects of product development starting with specifications through tape-out and product launch.
What you'll achieve:
- Define strategy and requirements for block level and chip level testing infrastructure.
- Create test plans for unit-level and chip-level verification.
- Design and implement test benches and verification environment.
- Develop random test generators to generate tests and debug failures.
- Define and drive completion of all verification activities to meet product quality requirements.
- Define post-si validation plans and debug post-silicon system level failures.
- Mentor/guide the work of junior engineers.
About you:
- 3+ years of experience verifying cache coherence and high-speed interconnect protocols.
- Solid understanding of MESI and MOESI protocols
- Prior experience with verifying ARM AMBA (APB/AHB/AXI/ACE/CHI) protocols
- Strong proficiency in Python programming, and a demonstrated ability to use it effectively in complex projects.
- Experience using industry standards like: System Verilog, SVTB, UVM and simulation tools.
- Robust understanding of L2 and L3 cache architectures
- Sound design verification mindset.
- Programming experience in languages common to the industry (e.g., C/C++, Perl)
- Solid understanding of high-performance multi-core processor architecture and microarchitecture.
- Additional skills highly desired: PCIe, CCIX, Automating design, Verification IP (VIP), ARM processor architecture
Education:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science & 5 years of related experience or MS degree & 3 years

The full base pay range for this role is between $113,300 and $188,800, except in the San Francisco Bay Area where the range is between $124,900 and $208,100.
