About the role:
 
In this position, you will join a great team in Ampere Taiwan and work with top talents in the industry, make contributions in Operations. Will be responsible for the product engineering team in Taiwan/Asia and be the site leader in Hsinchu.  Responsible for staff, setting goals, road map for team and ensuring their success. Responsible for WAT, wafer sort and FT yield data reporting, trend analysis and yield improvement. Work with wafer fab and sort, final test facilities to ensure product quality and product movement. 
 
What you’ll achieve:  
  • Lead team of primarily Product and Hardware Engineers 
  • Lead optimization and continuous improvement efforts on production test yields 
  • Lead optimization and continuous improvement efforts on Probe Cards, Load Boards, SLT board performance and maintenance 
  • Drive yield improvement for wafer sort, Final Test, and SLT test. Report actuals monthly/weekly: trends, targets, and plans for improvement 
  • Lead optimization and continuous improvement efforts on equipment usage including consumable material scheduling and minimizing site variability
  • Drive Yield enhancement activities 
  • Support Ops team on NPI startup and HVM deployment activities 
  • Responsible for production lot disposition and low yield analysis/debug 
  • Reduce production cost by improving yields and reducing test time 
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout, debug and fix yield issues 
  • As site lead, look out for the overall organizational health at the site.     
About you:
  • BSEE or MSEE with 12+ years (5+ years managing a team) in semiconductor product engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience in VLSI SoC or microprocessor product bring-up and productization 
  • Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals and CMOS circuits 
  • Excellent analytical and debugging skills and the ability to proactively solve issues 
  • Proven ability to learn and adapt to new methodologies and technologies 
  • Experience with yield improvement and test time reduction 
  • Solid background in ATE testing, test methodology, silicon process and DFT/DFM 
  • Familiarity with SCAN/ATPG/MBIST tests 
  • Strong yield enhancement background 
  • Have implemented yield management tools 
  • Excellent problem solving, teamwork, collaboration and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience working directly with a wafer fab on yield enhancement, lot dispositioning, RMA, trend analysis 
  • Strong English skills and ability to communicate effectively with Senior management.
