About the role:
As a Senior Principal SoC Verification Engineer, you will be a key technical lead member of the design verification team at Ampere to deliver high quality next generation cloud-native server class SoCs. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and executing the verification of complex SoC subsystems, ensuring the highest levels of quality and performance. This position requires a deep understanding of digital logic design principles, advanced verification methodologies, and AI Accelerator subsystem components.
What you’ll achieve:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive verification plans for SoC subsystems, including High Bandwidth Memory (HBM). Outlining goals, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Collaborate with Arch and RTL teams to define, develop and implement system-level, chip-level, and unit-level test strategies for functional and performance verification
- Drive the creation and implement test-benches using hardware modeling languages like System Verilog and advanced verification methodologies such as UVM
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, designers, emulation and software engineers to ensure robust verification processes
- Develop directed and random test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage and validation of the design
- Lead debug sessions to identify root causes of failures using simulators and waveform debuggers
- Debug and resolve complex verification issues through rigorous analysis and collaborative problem-solving
- Mentor and guide junior verification engineers in best practices and advanced verification techniques
About you:
- Minimum of 8 years of SoC and IP verification experience
- 5+ years of Memory Controller Verification experience with CPUs or SoCs.
- 5+ years of strong CHI/AXI protocol specifications or coherent fabric / interconnect verification knowledge.
- 3+ years of PCIe based subsystem verification expertise
- 5+ years of UVM verification methodology know-how, and experience developing test-benches from scratch
- Proficiency in HDL languages like System Verilog
- Ability with Perl or Python for automation tasks
- Additional skills highly desired: HBM verification, AI Accelerator verification, Emulation verification.
Education:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science & 12 years of related experience; MS degree & 8 years

The full base pay range for this role is between $171,800 and $286,300.
